Venice, Italy

There will definitely be a lot of food pic posts from the trip.

My diet consisted of seafood, pasta, pizza and gelato every single day!!!

It is painful writing these blog posts now because this trip was last week, and now I am home catching up on my blog posts. I am suffering from serious post-vacation depression.

Venice is a very very beautiful city and unfortunately I was only able to experience it from the balcony of our cruise ship. I mean...when I say it like that no one feels bad for me, but what I mean is that I am bummed I couldn't walk the streets and ride on the gondolas!! I really wanted to experience Venice more, because it is such a unique city. Since I had to replace my stolen passport at the US Consulate in Florence, that meant skipping out on seeing the sites in Venice. However, like every unfortunate situation the common saying goes..."It could have been worse" and that is very true in my case. I can think of a million things that could have gone wrong and I am so thankful that my mom and I were able to pull off getting a replacement passport as efficiently as we did! We were scared we were going to miss the cruise ship departure in Venice.

So...I was only able to see a brief overview of the city but what I did see was so beautiful and I am glad I have the pictures to remember it!!!
